Who Will Win the 2012 Presidential Debates?

In your opinion, who will win the 2012 presidential debates? If you ask anyone at CNN, they will tell you that Obama already has this election wrapped up.  CNN recently conducted a poll asking their readers who they think will win the first presidential debate October 3, and not surprisingly, their readers believe Obama is going to win the debates.  59% of people in their survey believe Obama is likely to do better than Romney in the debates, while another 34% believe that Romney can win these debates.

More on who will win the 2012 presidential debates!

These numbers don’t make any sense.  Romney has recent debate experience.  He has extensive debate experience from his time running in the Republican primaries, and if he didn’t know how to debate, he would not have won the Republican nomination.  The facts suggest that Romney has an excellent chance to win the presidential debates.

Who Will Win the 2012 Presidential Debates

The first debate is supposed to focus on economic issues, and President Obama is especially vulnerable in this area.  Unemployment rates are up since 2008.  The President rejected the Keystone XL Pipeline, and this could have created millions of jobs for Americans.  Major defense cuts that are going to take effect at the beginning of 2013 could lay off up to 2.14 million American workers.  This number includes people who work directly for the Federal Government, as well as private contractors who have contracts with the defense department who will be out of work too if the Federal Government lays off their other workers.

Mitt Romney should also focus on the looming new taxes that are set to begin January 1.  Sure, the Bush-era tax cuts are set to expire, but then there are all of the new Obamacare taxes too.  The Supreme Court ruled that Obamacare is constitutional simply because it is indeed a tax, so Romney can go after Obama on this.  It has been estimated that the average American family will be paying thousands of dollars per year in additional taxes, and Romney has failed to go after Obama on these issues.

Since Romney should bring up Obamacare and the coinciding taxes in the debates, he can talk about the new healthcare law too.  Polls still show that a majority of Americans oppose the new healthcare law, and voting for Romney gives Americans one last chance to overturn the legislation.  Mitt Romney has not addressed Obamacare as often as expected, and he could win more votes by simply reminding Americans that he will push to repeal Obamacare if he is elected President of the United States.

While some people believe he will push to repeal the new healthcare laws, many conservatives already believe it is too late to make a difference.  Romney needs to tell his base again that he will make the sacrifices that are needed to make the United States a great country again.

Lastly, Romney needs to try to dispel the notion among liberals that the economy is growing again.  Statistics suggest otherwise, but most liberals actually believe the economy is improving.  This could not be any further from the truth.  The statistics clearly show that the economy is barely growing, and we may actually be entering a double dip recession.

What Does Barack Obama Stand For – What We Know About Him Now

What does Barack Obama stand for?

What does Barack Obama stand for?  As his reelection day approaches, many Democrats, moderates, and independents are asking what they are going to get if he is reelected for the next four years.   We have a pretty good idea of what Obama is going to do if he is reelected, and we will learn more about his ideas as we get closer to the 2012 elections in November.

What Does Barack Obama Stand For

A big part of what Obama does will depend on what happens in the House of Representatives and Senate.   The House will likely remain controlled by the Republicans.  The Democrats are expected to lose seats in the Senate, but it remains to be seen whether they lose majority control in the Senate.  Republicans need to pick up another four seats in the next election to gain majority control of the Senate.  If Democrats still have control of the Senate after 2012 and he gets reelected, I would expect Obama to push liberal policies.  If Republicans gain control of the Senate and he gets reelected, then I would expect Obama to move more toward the center.

So what does Barack Obama stand for?  Here are some key issues that Republicans care about when it comes to President Obama:

Religion

In the evangelical periodical Christianity Today, Obama states he is a Christian.  His parents were not Christians, and some have questioned his religious beliefs.  It has been speculated that Obama may actually be a Muslim.  This famous interview below called into question his true religious beliefs:

So what does Barack Obama stand for?  Is he a Christian or a Muslim?  Why did he have to be corrected on his own beliefs?

Healthcare

Obama is perhaps best well-known for signing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act on March 23 2010.  This bill, better known as Obamacare, is making sweeping changes to the healthcare system of the United States.  It requires all citizens to purchase healthcare insurance, and it pays for healthcare for those people who can’t afford to get insurance.

Economy

Like his predecessor President Bush, President Obama passed an economic stimulus package in 2009 aimed at stimulating the economy.  He is a strong proponent of passing laws and stimulus packages to help stimulate a stagnant economy.

He has repeatedly stated that he believes the rich in our society should have to pay more.  He used to classify the rich as anyone who is making more than $250,000 per year.  In the 2012 State of the Union address, he made a statement saying that anyone making more than $1 million dollars a year is rich.

Obama ultimately feels the government is the key to stimulating the economy.  His views on the economy will not win him many votes among conservatives or small business owners.

Foreign Policy

Obama favors a policy of negotiating with our enemies to make peace around the world.  He generally opposes the use of force, and he has withdrawn all troops from Iraq.  He has tried to reach out to Muslim countries through TV and making appearances on foreign TV nations.  He successfully gave the okay to go after Osama Bin Laden, and he is credited with actually stopping and killing Osama Bin Laden.

Social issues

Obama ended the “Don’t ask don’t tell” policy in the military.  Homosexuals can serve openly in the military today.  Obama supports abortion rights for all women, and he co-sponsored the Freedom of Choice Act as a Senator in 2007.  This bill would have legalized partial-birth abortions, but as of now, we haven’t passed the law.

So what does Barack Obama stand for?  He stands for abortion rights, pro-homosexual agendas, taxes for the wealthy, mandatory healthcare for everyone, and negotiating with terrorists.  Do we really want him as our President for another four years?
