When is the Nevada Caucus?

Many people have been wondering when is the Nevada caucus?  Newt Gingrich has been falling in the polls, and he is going to have to poll better to have a decent chance to win in Nevada and the other upcoming dates in February.

The Nevada caucus is important for all of the candidates, but it is probably most important to Gingrich if he wants to have a chance to win the Republican nomination.

Gingrich’s last stand won’t be in any of the February contests. He doesn’t really stand a chance in Nevada (high Mormon population) or Maine (Romney’s backyard). Colorado and Minnesota are probably too moderate for him to make a strong showing. He does need to acquit himself well on Super Tuesday (March 6) in order to take his campaign to the convention. I suspect he will.
